Stannous fluoride solution embeds into peritubular dentin on the edge of the tubule wall (STEM-EDS of dentin treated with SnF2 solution).

Stannous fluoride extends up to 80μm inside the tubule network (DSIMS of dentin treated with Sensodyne Rapid Relief).
